Weekend Estate Cleaners Working Hours 7:30am - 3:15pm Saturday - Sunday
An intensive clean of walls, internal glass of windows, balustrades, skirting boards and light fixtures is undertaken on a 16 week cycle.
What can I do if there is a problem with graffiti?
If you see anyone deliberately causing damage or graffiti, please report them to us. We welcome any information that could lead to those people being charged with the costs rather than the costs falling upon the residents.
Offensive and hate crime graffiti is removed within 3 hours of being reported during normal working hours . All other graffiti is expected to be removed within four working days.
Please report graffiti to the Contact Centre on 020 8356 3691 or email repairs.rcc@hackneyhomes.org.uk
Who will check that these works are being done?
Estate Cleaning supervisors are on estates every week monitoring the standards of cleanliness and the work being carried out by the estate cleaners. Estate Supervisors carry out cleaning inspections. These inspections will capture any areas that may need redressing, and remedial cleaning work will take place in order to bring cleaning standards back up to standard.
Please feel free to contact your Area Supervisor who will be happy to meet with you at a mutually convenient time on your estate, should you have any questions or concerns about cleaning.
In addition to the checks carried out by Area Supervisors, Estate Inspectors carry out inspections on the standards achieved by the estate cleaners.
The inspections team will inspect housing blocks and estates on a monthly basis, produce reports and record the information.
Managers and supervisors are notified of all tasks that have received a fail grade and these areas are rectified.
Who Manages the Cleaning on my Estate?
Each estate has a designated estate cleaner, Area Supervisor and Area Manager.
