Welcome to our page which will tell you about the Stamford Hill sub-committee panel. All of the information on this page is provided by the Stamford Hill sub-committee panel.
If you are a Hackney Homes tenant or leaseholder then we are sure you will find something of interest. Now you might well be thinking…..
Tenants & Residents Associations and key representatives form the Stamford Hill sub- committee which is one half of the North East Neighbourhood Panel (the other being Clapton) which was established in 1999 to independently monitor the performance of the housing provider.
Historically all Stamford Hill services were provided via a Housing Service provider and some services in Clapton were provided direct from Hackney Council. As each area had different needs it was decided to keep two separate panels but to combine on a quarterly to discuss strategic issues. This is the preference of residents even though both areas are now serviced in the same way.
We meet every two months at Joseph Court Community Hall, Joseph Court, Amhurst Park (Near Stamford Hill Railway Station). However when a topic of importance comes up that might require consultation or discussion then we will arrange interim meetings.
The Panel is made up of representatives from the Tenants & Residents Associations and key residents in the Stamford Hill area. We can also co-opt residents who can provide a useful addition to the group. Each TRA can elect 2 representatives to the Panel and each TRA and key resident has a vote on the Panel. These people attend various meetings on behalf of the panel to ensure that the concerns and viewpoints of Stamford Hill are communicated.
We are also aware that street property residents sometimes feel alone and we particularly welcome anyone from a street property who would like to see how the Panel works and what it can do for you.
If you don’t have a Tenants & Residents Association you can still attend as a key representative for your estate or street property.
We discuss general issues that we experience in our homes. That could mean anti social behaviour, repairs, gardening, cleaning and all the important services that we pay for and expect to see provided. We also discuss environmental issues, such as re-cycling. Additionally we receive reports from the housing provider and Hackney Homes on services provided .
We have a strong community spirit in Stamford Hill and by coming together to discuss housing issues we can influence decisions which affect us.
Estate Inspections
Estate Inspections are carried out by your Estate Manager and appropriate service providers and residents are welcome to participate too. The dates when these inspections will take place are shown on the link below.

In the North East there is a Leasehold Association called NELA. There is no charge for membership as our housing provider, Pinnacle, went that extra mile and agreed to provide a small budget and the Leasehold Officer as an Administrator. For more information see our webpages by clicking here
