Key Achievements
By the end of December 2009, we had completed the following work across Hackney:
- 12,921 homes with new windows
- 10, 745 homes with new roofs
- 2,928 with new kitchens
- 2,919 with new bathrooms
Hackney’s Decent Homes programme is winning awards for its work. Recognition so far includes:
- The award of Exemplar Demonstration Status from Constructing Excellence in London, gained in November 2005
- Construction Client Charter Status, gained in December 2005
- Society of Procurement Officers (SOPO) award, gained in November 2005
- ‘Highly Commended’ in the Local Government Chronicle LGC Procurement Award in March 2006.
We are very proud of this programme and the impact it is having on improving Hackney’s housing.
