Hackney Family Intervention Project (FIP)
Hackney Family Intervention Project (FIP) works with families who are at risk of eviction for anti-social behaviour.
Hackney FIP will provide intensive support for the family to improve things that concern them and others. The project does this by identifying the root causes of the problem and working with the families to tackle these.
Hackney FIP will look at the causes of the problems and working with families to find solutions that will benefit them and their neighbours. We will work with families for several hours a week and this may include support plans that are specific to each family.
Examples of these are support related to:
- financial advice, benefits and rent arrears
- anger management
- parenting support
- health or education advice
Whilst each family has different needs, it is usually the case that the following will take place.
- Once the family agrees to work with FIP, a meeting will be arranges between the family and all the agencies working with your family.
- In the meeting, we will be put together a support plan for each member of the family.
- The plans will show which agencies will work with each family member, what they will do and for how long. You will get a copy of the plans.
- A project worker will go through plans with the family at least once a month to see how things are going and what changes might need to be made.
- Families can ask to review support plans at any time.
- The project may arrange another meeting with the family and the agencies working if the action plan needs to be changed.
