North East Leasehold Association

North East Leasehold Association (NELA) was launched on 22 November 2005.  The Association was formed following requests from the growing number of leaseholders wishing their concerns to be formally represented locally. The purpose is to raise, address and clarify general issues that concern all leaseholders/freeholders.

The Association is open to all leaseholders/freeholders within the Stamford Hill and Clapton area and no charge is made for membership. The Chair and Deputy Chair work closely with the Pinnacle Leasehold Services Officer, who provides administrative support to the Committee.

The meeting was extremely well attended however due to unavoidable circumstances both Diane Abbott MP, who was called away to attend to Parliamentary duties at the 11^th hour and Nicholas Kissen ,Senior Adviser of  LEASE, both sent their Apologies. Two Representatives from LEASE did attend on behalf of Nicholas Kissen and were able to answer questions put to them by the residents present.

Diane Abbott MP has offered to hold a meeting with residents at a later date to go over their issues.

General meetings are attended by officers from Pinnacle, Hackney Homes, as well as local Councillors. The meetings are held quarterly and have so far been very well attended by leaseholders.
