What is the Pride of Place Scheme?
The Pride of Place Scheme rewards tenants who pay their rent, look after their homes and estates and are considerate neighbours.
What awards are offered?
Every three months tenants who are up to date with their rent and who have been considerate to their neighbours will be automatically entered into the prize draw. Six tenants each quarter will receive a £500 voucher to spend on home improvements, home decorations or assorted gardening works. An additional six tenants each quarter will receive a £100 shopping voucher.
Where can residents spend their vouchers?
Residents can spend their vouchers in two local stores. These are Harris Electrical Store on Lower Clapton Road and London Fields Cycles on Mare Street.
Is Pride of Place a membership scheme?
Currently the Pride of Place Scheme is rewards based and tenants do not need membership. In the future Hackney Homes is hoping to expand the scheme and provide tenant members with a range of benefits such as discounts at local retailers and cheaper gas and electricity. As the scheme expands, more information will be sent to tenants. It is also anticipated that there will be a similar scheme developed for leaseholders.
How will tenants know if they’ve won?
Each quarter, staff from Hackney Homes will telephone the winners and send an official letter of confirmation with the prize.
