The Kick Start Programme

Following the land-swap seven Kick Start sites have been identified as suitable and available for early development. The purpose of the Kick Start sites is to:
- be the first phase of the overall regeneration project
- provide a total living environment as soon as is practicable for people living in unsound buildings
- provide developed sites to house tenants decanted from neighbouring Woodberry Down properties, which will in turn be demolished and redeveloped
The seven Kick Start sites are:
Site 1: The Old School Site
Site 2: Woodberry Grove North
Site 3: 151 Woodberry Grove , Oakend House, Parkfield House and the Shopping Parade
Site 4: 5-55 Newnton Close
Site 5: Havering, Wyersdale, Weybridge and Wensleydale blocks
Site 6: Denitist, hotel, adjacent houses, Horston and Sherwood blocks
Site 7: Pewsham and adjacent houses
Site 2: Woodberry Grove North

The process of decanting (re-housing) Hackney Homes (Council) Tenants and buying back Leaseholders is well underway on the Kick Start sites.
Developer announced
Hackney Homes has appointment the Development Consortium of Berkeley Homes, and leading housing association group, Circle Anglia as the Kick Start partner for the regeneration of Woodberry Down and have been given the go ahead to develop the Kick Start sites.
