YEP Website

If you are young and live in Hackney, then you need to get on the YEP website. This is a unique online community for young people living in Hackney. Youth committees Chatvic (which covers Trelawney, Frampton Park, Morningside and New Kingshold estates), Fellows Court, Fawcett, Woodberry Down and Landfield/Beckers have helped to create the website so that you can connect and share news and views with other young people.
Lisa Smith, 18, from Chatvic youth committee, said: "I'm really excited about YEP. It was great to meet people from the different committees here tonight, and I'm looking forward to working together with them in future. We've got lots of projects on the go, and I'm looking forward to having a say in what we do in the months ahead."

About the Youth Engagement Project
The Youth Engagement project (YEP) has been running for over three years. Delivered in nine estates in Hackney (Kingshold, Morningside, Frampton Park, Trelawney, Fellows Court, Fawcett, Landfield/Beckers, Woodberry Down and Holly Street) this estate based project aims to empower and encourage young people into active citizenship, by supporting them to participate more in their communities and make decisions about where they live through the formation of youth committees.
It is funded by Hackney Homes, Southern Housing Group, Sanctuary Housing, L&Q housing association and Circle 33 who oversee the project as the YEP Board.

Below are details of activities taking for you to get involved in. Why not tell us if you enjoyed them and what else you would like to see on your estates by sending an email to housingeditor@hackneyhomes.org.uk
