Help using this book
The Internet Tenancy Book has been designed to be as accessible as possible. Below are some useful tips that may help you to use the Internet Tenancy Book.
Text size
If you want to increase the size of the text:
- In your browser select "view" from the top menu,
- Select "text-size" and then the size you want. This may vary slightly with different types of browser.
Contrast
If you want to change the text and background colours of the Internet Repairs Book, you can do this by:
In Internet Explorer:
- In the top menu select "Tools" and then "Internet options".
- Press "Accessibility" button and then ‘tick’ "ignore colors specified on web pages". Click "ok"
- Press "Colors" button. ‘Un-tick’ "Use Windows colors" and then choose the most appropriate text and background colors.
In Firefox:
- In the top menu select "Tools" and then "Options"
- Press the "Fonts & Colors" button
- Choose the most appropriate text and background colors.
In Netscape:
- In the top menu select "Edit" and then "Preferences"
- Select and expand "Appearances" in top left of dialogue box
- Select colors. Check "Use my chosen colors"
- Choose the most appropriate text and background colors.
Access Keys
Access Keys help to make keyboard navigation easier and quicker.
- Contents (access key "c")
- A-Z index (access key "z")
- Help (access key "l")
- Skip navigation (access key "s")
If you are using Internet Explorer hold down "Alt" key, type the access key eg "c" for contents page, and then press the "Return" key.
If you are using Netscape or Firefox just hold down "Alt" key then type the access key.
