Robin Redmond Resource Centre
The RRRC sits in the middle of Woodberry Down and has traditionally served the local population land people living in the surrounding areas - Manor House, Stamford Hill, Finsbury Park and Haringey.
The Centre was originally a library but was converted to a community centre. It has been refurbished to a high standard and its facilities offer flexibility and suitability for a wide range of potential uses and people. It is a level-access, ground floor building. offering an open-plan Main Hall which accommodates up to 100 people along with a comprehensive kitchen. There are two side rooms that are used as training rooms (one as an IT training room with 11 PCs), two large office spaces (currently used by the Manor House Development Trust) one small office, plus the Centre’s reception and office. The building has wheelchair-accessible toilets and baby changing facilities.
The whole of the Woodberry Down estate is now part of a large housing regeneration programme (the largest in London). As part of the regeneration programme a new community centre/facility will be built to replace the RRRC. The new Community Centre is now under construction and due for completion in mid-2011.
