To achieve our mission of delivering excellent, responsive housing services we must have an understanding of our residents needs. It is clear that a 'one size fits all' approach is not the answer. We need to understand our diverse communities and have a focused approach for delivering quality services to meet their needs.
The Single Equality Scheme for Hackney Homes provides a framework for integrating equality and diversity in all that we do as a provider of services, employer, partner and purchaser of goods and services. The scheme will address the needs of seven equality groups including: race, disability, gender, gender reassignment, religion or belief, sexual orientation and age.
