Your Private Garden
You are responsible for keeping your garden tidy and free of rubbish. Some of your other garden responsibilities include:
- Trimming and lopping any shrubs, hedges and trees to make sure they do not become a nuisance to neighbours
- Maintaining fences, garden paths and garden features such as patios or terraces
- Disposal of all cuttings and any other waste items from your private garden.
Can I change my garden?
You can change elements of your garden, but you do need Hackney Homes written permission if you would like to:
- Put up a garage, shed or greenhouse
- Put up or change a wall or fence
- Cut down, remove or destroy any bushes, hedges or trees unless you planted them.
