Finding a job that is right for you can be difficult.  Especially if you have never worked, been out of work for a while or if you are worried about the effect it may have on your benefits.
Hackney Homes is now providing a new service called Ways into Work for their unemployed residents.  Ways into Work is free and will offer you a range of advice and support that will help you build the career you want.
You local Ways into Work adviser can offer you with the following help:
  • Career advice and guidance
  • Referral to job vacancies and employers
  • Benefits advice
  • Training packages
  • Vocational training
  • Apprenticeships and voluntary work
  • CV writing and interview skills
  • Confidence building
  • In-work support
From now and through-out 2010, trained advisers will be out and about meeting residents and telling you about this service.  Look out for Ways into Work events such as job fairs and coffee mornings, where you can drop by, find out more and sign-up to the programme.
If you are interested in getting involved, see below for  your local neighbourhood office adviser.
